But it took the company President (the same person who hired you) some time to woo this person away from a competitor. Having fired her, she will be "snapped up" tomorrow by a competitor because of her excellent domestic sales record. Regardless of what occurs internationally, she is very familiar with your accounts now, has no non compete agreement, and can be expected to take significant business away from your company over the next year.

The President of the company orders you to rehire her at once, apologize, and "get this problem straightened out by tomorrow. I don't want to hear about it. Just get it done. I need you to get on to more important things."
